Material of stainless steel gaskets

Among them, 304 stainless steel gaskets are long or circular in shape, with good toughness and not easy to break. Stainless steel spiral wound gaskets are made by alternately winding thin metal strips and non-metallic fillers, which have good sealing performance and stress compensation ability. 

 

 

Which one is better , 316 or 304 stainess steel ?

 

The choice between 316 stainless steel and 304 depends on the specific usage environment and requirements. The following is a comparison between two types of stainless steel:

Corrosion resistance: 316 stainless steel is superior to 304 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel adds molybdenum element on the basis of 304 stainless steel, making it more corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant, suitable for more harsh environments such as high temperature, high acidity or salinity.

Mechanical properties: 304 stainless steel performs better than 316 stainless steel in terms of strength and hardness, therefore it performs better in some scenarios that require bearing large loads and wear.

Cost : 304 stainless steel is more cost-effective than 316 stainless steel due to its relatively low manufacturing process and raw material costs.

In summary, 304 stainless steel is sufficient for general household cooking and daily use, and the price is more affordable. 1. Copper gasket

2. Stainless steel gasket

 

Stainless steel gaskets have excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance, and are suitable for fields such as chemical, aviation, and food processing. The commonly used thickness for stainless steel gaskets is 0.3mm, and the range of inner and outer diameters is similar to that of copper gaskets.

 

3. Aluminum gasket

 

Aluminum gaskets are widely used in the fields of heat dissipation and insulation due to their lightweight and thermal conductivity. Aluminum gaskets are cheaper compared to copper gaskets and stainless steel gaskets, but have poor corrosion resistance.
