Application of copper gaskets

Copper head gaskets are designed for use in all high-performance applications that require an extra measure of sealing or use very high compression. the solid coppper gaskets have outstanding effect when used in vacuum flange, it can fill the unevenness of flange surface becuse of its flexibility, and it is easy to be produced in any specification and type. 

Performance of copper gasket:

Service temperature: about 500 ℃, melting point: 1083 ℃,  hardness: ≥ 60hb before quenching and ≤ 45hb after quenching

Gasket tolerance:

1. Outer diameter: + 0.0 ~ -0.1;

2. Inner diameter: + / - 0.1;

3. Thickness: + / - 0.1

Material of gasket

Copper gasket could be red copper gasket and brass gasket , also could be annealed copper gasket , Aluminum gasket ,Nickel plated steel gasket or stainless steel gasket etc

Red copper is a relatively pure copper, which can be generally regarded as pure copper. It has good conductivity and plasticity, but poor strength and hardness.

Brass is a kind of copper containing other alloy components. Its price is cheaper than red copper. Its conductivity and plasticity are a little worse than red copper, but its strength and hardness are higher.

Annealed copper is more sofer than copper,with stabilize size and less deformation and crack tendency.

Nickel plated metal gaskets are typically used in applications with a corrosive environment.
