MC nylon is manufactured in different varieties according to its usage, mainly including the following:

 

 

 

1: MC nylon (ivory white): The properties of unmodified cast nylon 6 are very similar to those of nylon 66, with good comprehensive properties, high strength, stiffness, and hardness, creep resistance, wear resistance, heat aging resistance, and good machining performance.

 

 

 

2: MC901 (blue): This modified nylon 6 has a striking blue color, which is higher in toughness, flexibility, and fatigue resistance than ordinary cast nylon. It has been proven to be an ideal material for gears, racks, and transmission gears.

 

 

 

3: PA6+oil (green): This cast nylon 6 is truly self-lubricating nylon, developed specifically for manufacturing parts that cannot be lubricated, have high loads, and operate at low speeds, greatly expanding the application range of nylon. It has a lower friction coefficient (which can be reduced by more than half) and improved wear resistance (which can be increased by several times) compared to ordinary nylon.

 

 

 

4: PA6+Molybdenum disulfide (gray black): containing Molybdenum disulfide powder, it can improve its bearing capacity and wear resistance without affecting the impact resistance and fatigue resistance of unmodified cast nylon. It is widely used to manufacture gears, bearings, star wheels and sleeves.

 

 

 

5: PA6+Solid Lubricant (Grey): Using a patented formula of cast nylon 6, containing solid lubricant, this material has self-lubrication, excellent friction, outstanding wear resistance, and pressure speed ability (several times higher than ordinary cast nylon). Especially suitable for high-speed running, non lubricated moving parts, it is a perfect supplement to oily nylon.

Traditional pulleys are mostly made of cast iron or cast steel components. Although they have high load-bearing capacity, they have poor wear resistance and damage steel ropes. In addition, the cast steel pulley process is complex, and the actual cost is higher than that of MC nylon pulleys. Pulleys made of MC nylon have high strength and are easy to process. As long as the formula is suitable, pulleys with different performance requirements can also be made. By using MC nylon pulleys, the lifespan of the pulleys can be increased by 4-5 times, and the lifespan of the steel wire rope can be increased by 10 times. Compared with "metal pulleys" and "MC nylon pulleys", MC nylon pulleys can reduce the weight of the lifting arm and the head of the lifting arm by more than half, improve production efficiency, enhance the lifting function and overall mechanical performance, facilitate maintenance, disassembly, and oilless lubrication. Many foreign crane manufacturers, such as Liebherr in Germany and Kato in Japan, have used MC nylon pulleys since the 1970s. At present, the 12-125 seven level automotive cranes in China have been fully applied. Taking the LT40 automotive crane as an example, the use of MC nylon pulleys alone can save hundreds of thousands of yuan in maintenance costs for steel wire ropes and pulleys.

The original phenolic based pressure plate was manufactured and used for about half a year, but later changed to MC nylon and iron skeleton structure. After 7 years of use, it was inspected and still undamaged. The small gear of the concrete mixer (m=10, z=20) has a motor power of 7KW. The original metal gear had high transmission noise and severe tooth surface wear. After switching to MC nylon gear, the transmission was stable, the noise was low, and the service life was over several decades.

The use of MC nylon instead of copper and babbitt alloy to make various sizes of shaft sleeves, bearing shells, etc., is widely used in construction machinery. Features: Good wear resistance and self-lubricating performance, with a high PV value among current general thermoplastic materials; Low friction coefficient, impact resistant, less prone to shaft sticking, fusion, and no damage to the shaft neck; Long lubrication cycle, reduced maintenance, strong adaptability in harsh environments, and long service life. ZQA19-4 material has always been used, but due to high dust during operation, poor lubrication conditions, and rapid wear of the shaft sleeve. After switching to MC nylon, based on its compressive strength, the theoretical calculation shows that it can bear a load of 288-345T, while the actual usage load is 140T. It has been used in the open air at an ambient temperature of 40-42 ℃ for many years, and after excavating 5.265 million tons of ore, it was found through disassembly inspection that the surface is flat and smooth, forming a good oil film, proving that there is basically no wear.
